Covering many of the Trail Runs in and around KZN, I often photograph get to photograph some of our top trail runners, and more often than not, one of those runner's is none other than Eric Ngubane. I have been lucky enough to photograph Hank for a number of years, not only at sporting events, but for sponsors as well. The first time I ever had the opportunity to photograph Hank was down at the Mtamvuna River in 2006 for SA Marathon Champs. Since then I have photographed him in just about every paddling event in SA. The 2015 edition of the Drak Challenge was an exciting one, indeed. The water levels were touch and go but finally the decision was given to start at the normal day 1 start, at Castleburn! Great excitement for all but there was still a bit of concern lingering in the air as to whether there was indeed enough water to carry the paddlers downstream to the finish. The frantic start set the pace for the rest of the race.  With Hank, Andy and Lance setting the pace from the beginning, they were first through Pines and then down to Toilet Bowl!

It was with great excitement that I was asked by Andrew Booth from KZN Trailrunning to shoot the inaugural Lesotho Ultra Trail at Maliba Lodge in Lesotho. I had never been to Lesotho before, closest was three quarters the way up Sani Pass. So this was one adventure I was looking forward to!
