I managed to catch up with Jenna and Vanda this week while on one of their training sessions. Although this crew has not really proven themselves, they each have impressive records to back themselves for a good Dusi. Jenna has show impressive form lately, not only on the rivers, but in the sea as well. Jenna has managed a number of wins this season on the rivers, partnering with Abby Sohms. I have been lucky enough to photograph Hank for a number of years, not only at sporting events, but for sponsors as well. The first time I ever had the opportunity to photograph Hank was down at the Mtamvuna River in 2006 for SA Marathon Champs. Since then I have photographed him in just about every paddling event in SA. It was touted to be the race of all races, the most hotly contested men's race for a long time. The "fantastic four" as they were dubbed, Andy Birkett, Lance Kime, Sbonelo Khwela and Thulani Mbanjwa, were the hot favourites to take the checkered flag at Blue Lagoon.
