Alphonse Island – Seychelles

The Alphonse Atoll is located 400km southwest of Mahe, Seychelles. It consists of 3 incredible islands, Alphonse, St. Francios and Bijoutier, all in absolute pristine condition and providing refuge for numerous sea and land animal species.

Alphonse is probably most well known for it’s fishing, mainly fly-fishing, both on the flats, as well as blue fly-fishing. There are numerous other activities available, which certainly lends itself to a great family destination – snorkelling, scuba diving (offers some of the best diving I have experienced in a long while), island exploring (St. Francios is a birders paradise and a day trip to the island is certainly worth while), or just lazing around the pool and bar.
